The First Meeting with Strange Looking Kid
It seems I got into the situtation...a weird one.
I woke up in a mysterious place, unsure whether I was dreaming or not. Before I could make sense of anything, a strange creature with two horns appeared in front of me. He claimed to be a spirit that had somehow lodged himself inside my consciousness.
Since I was still half out of it, the first thing I told him was that he looked like a strange-looking kid.
He seemed like he was expecting me to scream, panic, or have some huge reaction, but... I just laughed. It was honestly kind of cute watching him prepare for the worst.
He introduced himself as Orion, a spirit from a distant world. Apparently, he came to the human world for some business, but accidentally collided with my mind and ended up trapped inside my soul. The impact was so strong that I lost consciousness...
"So... we're talking inside my mind right now?"
The worst part is that I've lost all of my memories.
In other words... amnesia.
Orion looked like he expected me to yell at him for it. Instead, I told him it wasn't intentional, so I couldn't really blame him. He already apologized sincerely, and he genuinely seemed like a good... creature. I believed him.
He promised he'd do everything he could to help me recover my memories. Besides, if he doesn't, he'll stay trapped inside me forever, so it's a win-win situation for both of us.
According to him, it's like he accidentally took up the space where my memories were stored. My memories haven't disappeared—they've simply been pushed out. Once they return, they'll push Orion back out as well.
Honestly... that's kind of amazing.
So I agreed to work together with him. We'll solve both of our problems at the same time.
He seemed surprised that I wasn't trying to chase him away after hearing the situation. But I'm just not that kind of person. It's not every day you meet a fantasy creature, and he doesn't seem to have any evil intentions.
He told me I have a very accepting and mellow temperament.
Well... I don't really have much of a choice anyway.
Orion wanted to help however he could, but he also explained his limitations. We can't physically touch each other. He can't directly interfere with the world. Nobody except me can see or hear him, and he can't move more than ten meters away from me.
Still, he promised he wouldn't become the cause of any trouble, and I appreciated him telling me everything upfront. Knowing someone is on my side already makes me feel a little less alone.
He then explained where we currently are.
It's difficult to describe—a place that exists outside countless parallel worlds, yet isn't connected to any of them. From here, we can choose which parallel world to enter while searching for my lost memories.
Maybe that's why we get to choose our destination.
Before we left, Orion warned me not to trust anyone too easily. If I absolutely have to tell someone about my amnesia, it should only be someone I truly trust.
He's honestly such a good little creature.
I love Orion.

Even though he tries to stay calm, I can tell his mind is full of catastrophic thoughts. He's constantly worrying about everything that could go wrong. I wanted to reassure him, but I also couldn't blame him. He's just genuinely worried about me, and I really appreciate that.
Not wanting to dismiss his concerns, I asked the most obvious question:
"Can't I just call the police?"
He immediately understood why I'd ask.
But he explained that the police wouldn't know who I am. At best, they'd send me to a hospital.
...He has a point.
If I end up confined in a hospital until my memories return, it'd basically be game over.
My situation is far too unusual for anyone to understand, so getting hospitalized is something we absolutely have to avoid.
To avoid a bad ending, what we need first...
...is information.
With that decided, Orion told me to choose the parallel world that felt right to me.
Everything faded to black.
