Suspicions, Suspicions, Suspicions
I don't know if I can even survive around this guy.
We got into a taxi.
The driver asked where we were going.
...Great.
Even Orion started panicking.
If only I could quietly check my ID, but there's no way I could do that without this guy noticing.
I had to come up with something.
I thought about saying I wasn't good with directions...
But honestly?
Everything I say feels suspicious.
No matter what excuse I pick, it feels like I'm digging myself into a deeper hole.
Before I could decide, he simply told the driver the exact address.
See?
He's suspicious.
When we arrived, Orion and I wondered the same thing.
Do I live with my parents?
Honestly...
I was hoping I lived alone.
It'd make hiding my amnesia a lot easier.
Unfortunately...
I walked right past my own apartment.
Ugh.
He noticed.
While I was awkwardly looking for my key, he gave me another confused look.
Apparently...
He already has a key.
We could've laughed it off somehow...
But I don't know how "normal me" would react.
I'm scared every little thing I do is making him even more suspicious.
Once we got inside, I instinctively wanted to look around the apartment.
Orion immediately stopped me.
Good point.
If I start staring at everything like I've never seen it before...
That's definitely suspicious.
Then this guy asked me to make him some tea.
...Excuse me?
I'm a patient who literally just got discharged from the hospital.
You're making me prepare tea?
Orion thought the same thing.
Suspicious.
Still...
I didn't really have a choice.
I headed into the kitchen.
Then another problem appeared.
What kind of tea does he like?
There were three different choices.
I couldn't exactly ask him.
He's supposedly my boyfriend.
I should already know.
This is nerve-wracking...
I decided to gamble.
Barley tea.
Then he stopped me.
Apparently it had expired two weeks ago.
Orion quietly pointed out that I'd also been hospitalized for about two weeks.
...Wait.
Tea expires?
I honestly didn't know that.
Thankfully, he just shrugged it off.
Apparently it wasn't a big deal.
While he was distracted, Orion whispered that he wished this guy would just leave already.
Honestly...
Same.
Although...
We still don't know if he actually lives here too.
Maybe we should check the bathroom later.
If there are two toothbrushes...
That'll answer our question.
After cleaning up everything except my clothes, he suggested we eat something.
Time passed.
Eventually, he stood up and said he was going home.
Finally.
Orion and I were practically celebrating inside my head.
Freedom at last.
Then he casually added...
"I'll come back tomorrow."
...Seriously?
What am I supposed to say?
Am I the type of girlfriend who tells him not to come over so often?
Or do I happily agree?
If I tell him not to come...
He might stop visiting.
That would give me time to search the apartment for clues.
But if I refuse...
Wouldn't that seem strange?
In the end...
I simply said, "Okay."
Then he suddenly mentioned he had prep school tomorrow.
...
He's so sneaky.
Why would you casually drop that information now?
Is he telling the truth?
Or is he testing me again?
Even Orion looked confused.
The moment he finally left, Orion immediately started complaining about him.
I completely agreed.
The first thing we searched for...
My phone.
Nothing.
Absolutely nothing.
What?
Everyone owns a phone.
There's no way I don't have one.
Even Orion was just as shocked as I was.
Maybe it's somewhere in the apartment.
We'll keep looking tomorrow.
For now, I checked my student ID.
Apparently...
I'm a psychology student.
At least that's one mystery solved.
Unfortunately...
We still don't know my boyfriend's name.
Orion eventually concluded that, despite how suspicious he seems, he must be someone I trusted deeply.
After everything he'd done for me today...
I think he's right.
